So a couple of weekends ago I received a Condor Tactical 2 Point sling for my M4 and decided to test it out while playing at UCAP’s The Sandpit (game footage of that will be published next week along with a review). Here’s my run down on this sling and whether or not it is any good.
2 Point Sling
The Condor Tactical is a 2 point sling that can easily be converted into a 1 point sling. It comes in a wide range of colours and patterns and it is made of strong webbing material with a very good build quality. Utilising 2 HK Snap Hooks at either end it is very easy and quick to attach to your weapon. Both HK Snap Hooks also have some elastic covers which help to eliminate rattle. It incorporates quick detach Duraflex buckles which feel nice and strong. One thing I notice about various slings out on the market is that the plastic buckles feel cheap and nasty. This is not the case with the Condor sling. It also has a short bungee section at either end of the sling helping to take out some of the strain exerted when running a sling and the work very well. There are also two D Rings near each end of the sling allowing you to easily and quickly convert your sling from a 2 point to a 1 point.
In a nut shell yes. I never once felt the sling cutting into my neck. The webbing material is just soft enough that it doesn’t rub too much either yet is still firm enough to be strong. Switching between 1 point and 1 point sling was easy and I did this multiple times throughout the day with minimal effort. It can be a little tricky to adjust its length at times because it just uses a standard plastic buckle to adjust, but in all honesty that is something which you don’t need to do on a regularly basis so isn’t too much of a drama.
The only thing I can fault this sling on is it’s adjuster buckle. It isn’t a fast adjust type buckle that you see on many slings these days and as such it can be tricky to adjust the length of the sling in a hurry while wearing it. Having said that, this is a minor point because the only times you’d need to really adjust the length of you sling is when you have enough time to do so.
This is a great sling. It is comfortable, easy to switch between 2 and 1 point attachment modes and at only £32.99 from Amazon you can’t really go wrong. If you’re looking for a sling that easily switches from 2 to 1 point, then you won’t be disappointed to get this.
